OAK LAWN DIVERSITY - 25-year-old Islamic Camel Jockey Jehad Ali Mohammad Alqudah About Roofers Threatens To Shoot Condo President : Cops
According to the charges, Oak Lawn police responded to a reported threat at a condominium building in the 9600 block of South Ridgeland Avenue around 5 p.m. Oct. 20. When police arrived they saw a man, later identified as 25-year-old Jehad Ali Mohammad Alqudah, in the third-floor window.
Alqudah’s neighbor told police that he threatened to shoot her. The officer told Alqudah to to meet him outside. After making sure Alqudah wasn’t armed, Alqudah allegedly admitted to the officer that he had threatened to shoot his neighbor.
Police said Alqudah showed the officer where work was being done to the eaves under the roof Alqudah said the workers were able to look into his unit. According to the officer, Alqudah threatened his neighbor in the hallway because his customs weren’t being respected.
Alqudah denied owning firearms and gave permission to the police to search his apartment, reports said.
Officers spoke to the neighbor, described in the police report as being “very frightened and emotionally disturbed” by the confrontation. She told police she was president of the condominium association and was completing a work order when Alqudah emerged from his unit.
The neighbor said that Alqudah had never complained before about workers being able to see into his unit. Police took Alqudah into custody and transferred him to the Oak Lawn police station where he was charged with assault with a handgun, reports said.
Alqudah was told to stay away from his neighbor. His next court hearing in Nov. 3 in Bridgeview. The report did not mention if a gun was recovered.
