Johnanthan Condrey, 44, is charged with stabbing & murdering his Mudsharking girlfriend and dumping her body at the White Pines Golf Course near Bensenville
About 8 a.m. Thursday, the body of a 37-year-old woman was discovered at a golf club in DuPage County. An investigation revealed the victim, whose name was not released pending family notification, had been killed at her home in unincorporated Cook County, according to Cook County sheriff's office release.
The victim lived with her boyfriend in the 11500 block of West Grand Avenue, the release said.
About 5 a.m. Thursday, the victim was arguing with her boyfriend, Johnanthan Condrey, and was fatally stabbed. She was then driven to the golf course where her body was left, the release said.
An autopsy Friday determined the victim suffered a stab wound to the back and did not have extensive head trauma, as some media reports indicated, according to a release from the DuPage County coroner's office.
Condrey and another man were taken into custody Thursday night, but the second person was released. Condrey was charged with first-degree murder and was scheduled to appear Saturday at a bail hearing.
