NYC Fired Department EMT Angus Pascall trial gets underway - Used the NYC Fire Dept. elevator key to stop elevators to rape women.
A suspect in several rapes since 2001, the decorated emergency medical technician allegedly used an FDNY elevator key to shut down the elevators for his attacks
A decorated city EMT armed with a gun sneaked inside a woman’s Brooklyn apartment, ordered her to strip and then raped her, the woman testified Wednesday — the first of a parade of victims who were sexually assaulted by the former hero between 2001 and 2010, prosecutors said.
In all, Angus Pascall, 35, is charged with five assaults — and DNA links him to all of the attacks, prosecutors said as the trial got under way. The cases include the rape of an 11-year-old girl in an elevator and an attempted rape of a 14-year-old girl.
The FDNY medical technician was honored in 2007 for saving a wounded patient’s life — but that bit of heroism came after he began his secret life as a sexual predator, prosecutors said.
The first witness to take the stand said the incident in her East Flatbush home occurred in 2001, when she was 22.
Visibly nervous, the woman testified she was in her apartment when Pascall asked to leave a package for her upstairs neighbor.
