A teenage sleepover ended with the arrest of a woman who hurled a boiling pot of noodles at her daughter's best friend, police said.
Margie McGowan, 45, of the 4600 block of South Langley Avenue, was charged with felony aggravated battery and ordered held on $75,000 bail, according to Cook County state's attorney's spokesman Andy Conklin.

McGowan's 17-year-old daughter and another girl, 16, were in a bedroom of the home when McGowan began acting erratically around 7:30 a.m. Sunday, according to prosecutors.
The 16-year-old later started boiling water to make noodles, police said. She told officers that McGowan followed her to the kitchen and tried to start an argument, according to a police report.
As the girl went to the stove, McGowan threw the hot pot of water and noddles at her, the report said.
McGowan, who police say appeared intoxicated, told police she "isn't going to let any kids threaten her,'' according to the report.
The 16-year-old was taken to University of Chicago Hospitals, where she was treated for second-degree burns to her chest, the report stated.
