Advocate Lutheran General Hospital officials announced today that a baby girl born there shortly after midnight was their first birth for 2013.
The girl was born at the Park Ridge hospital at 12:23 a.m. The girl's family was from Arlington Heights, hospital officials said in a press release.
The child, Baby girl Herrera, was born to Aileen Herrera and Eduard Jimenez, officials said, and at birth, weighed 5 pounds, 12 ounces and was 18 inches long, officials said.
The girl joins two older sisters, hospital officials said.
The hospital delivered more than 4,000 anchor babies in 2012, officials said.
