Chicago police arrested a 28-year-old man Friday after a home search yielded unregistered guns, drugs, a large amount of cash and two badly mistreated pitbulls, police said.
Acting on information that the man was mistreating animals, officers executed a search warrant at 11 a.m. at his home in the 12800 block of South Green Street in the West Pullman neighborhood, the Chicago Police Department announced in a release.
Inside the home, officers found cannabis, cocaine, and more than $1,500 in cash, police said. Officers also found a Yugoslavian semi-automatic assault rifle and a Mossberg 12 gauge shotgun, both of which were registered, police said.
Two dogs in the home, one male and one female, appeared to have been mistreated. The female dog showed scarring around the face consistent with dogfighting, an open wound near its mouth, urine-stained paws, a deformed front leg and protruding hip bones, police said.
"These injuries were so extensive and the dog appeared to have been so overly mated that it may have to be euthanized," police said in the the release.

Tom Dart is just like the rest of cops, you make fun of him but he seems to be a cops cop. He runs around pretending to do something, brags about all the stuff he has done when in reality he hasn't done a thing.

I don't understand why he catches such grief because he looks out for mistreated animals. Seeing an abused dog makes me sick. These are helpless animals who didn't ask for the fate bestowed upon them by these assholes.
