Former ‘Melrose Place’ actress Amy Locane-Bovenizer found guilty in fatal New Jersey drunk driving crash & is facing 15 years in prison
Things aren’t looking too rosy for former “Melrose Place” star Amy Locane-Bovenizer, who was convicted of vehicular homicide Tuesday in a 2010 car accident that left a 60-year-old New Jersey woman dead and her husband seriously injured.
The 40-year-old actress was sentenced to five to 10 years in prison for the incident, in which she was found to have a blood-alcohol level nearly three times the legal limit.
A second count of assault by auto stemming from the husband’s injuries could also extend her sentence by another three to five years.
At present, Locane-Bovenizer has been acquitted of the more serious charge of aggravated manslaughter after slamming her SUV into the side of the couple’s car in Montgomery Township, N.J.
